At the Knight Center at WashU, we care about what our guests think. We pay close attention to their feedback and use it to make our conference center event better. As you're getting ready for your next trip to St. Louis, check out what conference attendees, travelers, and event planners have to say about us.
Thank you very much for all your efforts in planning our Awards Dinner, in developing the customized menu that fit our budget, and in making sure the plans were successfully implemented. I thought the food was excellent and the staff did an excellent job of serving us and taking care of all our needs. I am looking forward to working with you on future events.

I wanted to take a moment tell you about some of the terrific people that you have working at the Knight Center and how they stepped up to help me though an extraordinarily challenging experience during aftermath of Friday’s tornado.
Right after the storm Joe Banstetter and Deloris were immediately helping us adjust our afternoon reception and dinner plans. When we learned that our 50 person off-site dinner was cancelled due to a gas leak at the Chase Park Plaza, they happily accommodated our request to bring in delivered food to the AB dining room for an impromptu on-site dinner. Karma was there stepping up with her staff, staying until 9pm to assist our group with the dinner including Fatima who served our bar with a warm smile. Charles and Mayar helped us get all the food upstairs. And Charles then led me through the dark hallways so I could get through the locked doors to retrieve car keys from my Bauer Hall office. And of course, my main event coordinator, Julie, quickly came in on here day off to help us through the multitude of challenges.
Then as the power remained off into Friday evening, Cara called around the area to find alternate hotel accommodations for our 40 guests. This was particularly helpful to me as we had no idea if we could resume the 2-day conference at the Knight Center on Saturday. She also helped me arrange a crucial backup plan to hold our conference at the Marriot St. Louis Airport hotel on Saturday if the power had stayed off. Finding us that alternate hotel was immensely helpful.
Chris Hines was at the Knight Center and Bauer Hall at 6am Saturday testing the AV equipment and communicating with me so I could steer our conference back to the Knight Center once we confirmed that power had been restored.
Our Saturday itinerary went off without a hitch and my conference attendees were amazed at how our WashU team was able to work through the storm related challenges. The only reason that things went so smoothly is because these individuals mentioned above (and I’m sure many others behind the scenes) went above and beyond to assist me and our conference guests. And all of them did this with a calm and pleasant demeanor.
I can’t thank them enough for their hard work this past Friday and Saturday…it was the difference between a failed conference and a successful one.
THANK YOU Knight Center folks!

Again Karma and staff blew it out the park with accommodating the needs for this event. They helped me with set up of flowers while I concentrated on the slide show. They helped and moved quickly during the tornado with quick thinking on their feet. We covered the food blew out sternos and got everyone to the basement. Afterwards they got everything cleaned up quickly so we could tend to issues on campus. This event was super seamless and Tom was extremely happy with all the special details from the chef, color of tablecloths, set up of food and karamas teams. Wonderful event!

I hope you are both doing well! I wanted to reach out with my expression of gratitude on behalf of the English department for a fantastic holiday party. We were hoping for something relaxed and casual to celebrate the end of the semester, and the EMBA pub provided the perfect place for that. The bartenders took excellent care of us - please pass along my thanks to them! I also wanted to express my gratitude to you, Sue and Logan, for your help with the bookings and getting everything signed, as well as to you, Deloris, from managing the event details with me, providing your input to help me make decisions on menus, etc. This was my first event here at WashU and I'm very grateful that you all helped me make it a success!!Lastly, I wish you all happy holidays and I hope you're able to take a break and relax some!Reviewed by Sammy Keller - Academic & Administrative Coordinator I Arts & Sciences
